Meet The Maker

Hi! My name is Sonya, I’m the owner and creator of Bath.ish.

From my home in Olympia, Washington, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, I create cold process soaps and whipped sugar scrubs made with love and care. I’m dedicated to crafting nourishing soaps that truly “feed your skin,” using only high-quality ingredients.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches using thoughtfully chosen, skin-loving ingredients. Our palm-free recipe blends olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter, and castor oil to create a beautifully balanced bar that gently cleanses while nourishing and moisturizing the skin.

Handmade cold process soap is a true passion of mine. I love the idea of blending oils and butters with an alkaline, adding a fragrance or essential oil, and sometimes finishing it with botanicals inside or on top. The possibilities are endless. Soap making is a true art form and something that feeds my creative side.

For a few years, I purchased handmade soaps from a local soap maker and quickly fell in love with how they helped heal my troubled skin. As a naturally creative person, I became curious about the process and wanted to learn how to make cold process soap myself. What started as a personal interest soon grew into a passion. I began my soap-making journey in 2019 and officially launched Bath.ish in 2020.

When I’m not making soap, I work full time as a dental assistant and have been with the same practice since 2005. Between dentistry and soap making, life stays pretty full, but I still make time for traveling, hiking, new adventures, and spending time with my two crazy, loving Basset Hounds, Remy and Bandit.

Give yourself the opportunity to help your skin look and feel the way nature intended. You won’t regret it.

My goal with Bath.ish is simple: to create beautiful, nourishing products that turn everyday routines into small moments of self-care—because handmade truly is best-made.
